In 2009, JOA Group created the JOA Foundation to illustrate the values of trust and transparency that it strives to implement on a daily basis, in particular through its responsible gaming policy aimed to prevent players of excessive gaming and encourage them to remain in control.
The JOA Foundation is a natural extension of this policy. Partly dedicated to the problem of addiction, the Foundation illustrates a proactive approach by the company which consists in putting forward this public health issue, far beyond the borders of its casinos. Gaming is a source of entertainment, leisure and conviviality, casinos have a mission of animation within their commune of establishment.
However, in these same cities, certain audiences remain isolated or prevented from any opportunity to have fun. With its Foundation, the JOA Group wishes to provide these people with opportunities of entertainment, meeting, social interactions and solidarity initiatives.
Prevent addiction to gambling, by funding studies, multidisciplinary research to improve knowledge of people concerned and addiction phenomena.
Facilitate information, access to care and improve the quality of care for players in difficulty, in particular by raising awareness, supporting or creating specific assistance and care structures throught specialized medical centers.
Disseminate and promote leisure, entertainment, emotion, relaxation, as modes of personal development and socialization among isolated or struggling audiences.
